Dogs learn the act of 'cleaning up' their doo doo from their mother when she gave them birth. I've read some articles about feeding your dog foods that will make their feces smell horrible so that they won't eat it, and others that state your dog is not getting enough vitamins, minerals, and protein in their diet, so they eat feces. But the best recommendation I can give is to pick up the dog feces in your yard and dispose of it.

I don't blame you at all for being worried! Just don't let her be the one who's cleaning up the 'accidents'. My daughter in law is due 3-17 with a girl, and she just got a new puppy 2 weeks ago.

If your 2 year old dog has never been wormed before, the chances he threw up the worm are very large.

I believe most worm medicines that are bought over the counter state that you can re-worm the pet again in 2 weeks.

I just gave my dogs dewormer for roundworms and hookworms, After reading this I now believe they have tapeworms. Though they are not infested with fleas. How long should I wait before attempting to give them medicine that treats tapeworms from the day they took this medicine?

My 2 yr. old dog, with no prior symptoms, threw up a coiled up, still living, white worm. He isn't sick. No fever, nothing around the rear, plenty of energy, his stool is fine, and all in all, minus the worm, he's in tip top shape. I am worried that that worm came from him but I'm not sure if I should take him to the vet or not...I have no money so that is why I am wanting advise before I over react.
